Countryside score, Miners Arms. I was with Jim and Roger for the first stretch, before roger messed around looking for a control and Jim took a wrong turning, after that I was alone the whole way around, Could have possibly avoided being late by missing a control towards the end, but I only lost 1 for being late and gained one from getting the extra control.

Shutlingsloe Fell Race, Straight up and down with a short climb back up to Crag Hall to finish. For once I managed to hold my place on the climb, and gained ground on the descent, but the next person in front of me was about 30 seconds ahead when we left the top, so i didn't catch him.

Lyme park introductory 3, put controls out to begin with and jogged around the light green towards the end, cycled there and back.

Dark and White at Harpur Hill, lost my drink on the first rough descent, could feel myself slowing down later on and had a really dry mouth for most of the second half, finished in 22nd with 190 points out of a possible 240, I reckon I could have got 200 if I had missed a 10, gone for a 20 instead and ridden a little harder round the roads at the end.

Much better today, finished as 2nd 18 instead of 2nd to last, and i was only 50 or so seconds off Olly, but I didn't catch up nearly enough time so i still finished 4th/4 overall.

I was in the leading group (for my gaffle) right until the field at the end where they all pulled away, only finished 20s down on the fastest on my gaffle though.

A few small mistakes, largest of which cost me about a minute, other than that, I felt I could have run a little faster as I still had plenty of energy on the last bit through the woods.
