Running warm up/down 25:00 [1] 1.5 km (16:40 / km)
shoes: New Balance Trail

Jogged to the start with my mum, then kept jogging around in the trees until my start time.

Orienteering race 36:05 [5] *** 5.0 km (7:13 / km) +80m 6:41 / km
shoes: New Balance Trail

Made a few small mistakes.
no.4 I wasn't sure i was on the right (not all the paths were marked, some wee just white strips in the green) path and saw a control on what looked like my control description, but it was too early, so looked at the number before realising and carrying on. (0:15)
no.5 I had folded my map right on a big path junction and when i got there i started up a path i couldn't see on my map for about 20m, then i came of the correct path too early and had to run parallel to my control. (0:30)
no.10 I found a ride that wasn't marked that made me hesitate, see a different control and then saw my control. It was supposed to be a deppression, but it was filled with water. (0:15)
no.11 I didn't correct enough for going round a pheasant pen and ended up in the next re-entrant along, hesitated and then realised what i had done. (0:30)
1:30 of mistakes
Felt a bit ill in the last few controls
Felt like a very fast run, came 3rd overall, ahead of Chris and Zac.
