Orienteering race (Street League 4) 1:16:09 [3] * 14.0 km (5:26 / km) +50m 5:21 / km

Tried to warm up beforehand, but the wind put me off and only did about 5 mins of jogging, this meant my shin splints affected the race, so for the first half hour I was moving slowly, then after that I sped up, but was as straight as I could make my route to get back, and it was into the wind. I was a long way down on Steve tonight, not quite so far behind Quentin, but did better than one of the previous scores. Still hope to drop this one though.

Orienteering race 1:40:17 [4] **** 11.0 km (9:07 / km) +615m 7:07 / km
shoes: Inov -8 O-Rocs

Tim Watkins, C course, I was in the lead at all the controls, except one, and I was always within 100m of Mark Seddon, who got to 20 before me because he saw me stop and relocate, and turned round to find he was next to the control, 20m above me, we mostly had different routes that seemed very similar in time, but were often different lengths. Fell over on the last long downhill leg and thought he was going to overtake right at the end because I was moving so awkwardly, but he had dropped back on the descent and I finished 2 mins ahead of him. It was probably mre like 13km, with a little more climb, as I took the high option on the long leg, which added a good few contours.
