Running long 2:36:00 [2] 27.28 km (5:43 / km) +495m 5:15 / km

Down to Broomhill to meet the group, then up Porter, cut out the last bit and went through the fields to Rininglow Road, round Lady Cannings along the bridleway towards the Fox House, right off this to meet the path along the top of Burbage, then followed Burbage/Stanage all the way to the pole, down the track, past the reservoirs, down Wyming Brook, along Rivelin and back into Crookes, then ran with Dom back from Crookes to my flat.
Lots of waiting around for the rest of the group to catch up, hopefully in a few weeks we'll split and form similar ability groups so we don't have to do this.

Running long (OMM Day 2) 3:31:57 [3] 23.0 km (9:13 / km) +1250m 7:15 / km

Started at 7.00, as we were the leading male pair. My aim for the day was to not allow any teams from behind catch us up. After the first few controls Quentin and Zoe were too far ahead to reel back in and Matt was struggling a bit. Got a bit of a boost when we ran a few km with the wind right on our backs, then the next 5 or so the wind was across us and it had started raining, so we kept moving fast enough to keep warm, but not much faster. Dropped below the ridge and around to 11, as we didn't fancy doing more climb while exposed to the wind, it was a lot more pleasant to run around the bottom. from here on Matts knee seemed to get worse, especially on the final steep drop into the woods. Finished at an easy pace along the track.
Again, finshed about 30 mins down on the Hardings, but only 7 ahead of the Allens this time. Kept 2nd place overall, little over an hour down on the Hardings and 37 ahead of 3rd (Allens)
