running-off road 58:00 [3]

felt pretty slow and heavy, definitly ready for an easy day. Legs loosened up a little and got physio tomorrow morning which should be good. Trying to avoid hills a bit like physio said for a few days, didn't really work though cause I hate running on roads now I'm not used to it, just automatically head for the hills

running-off road 1:28:00 [3]

pretty freakn tired, first 20mins were hard but then got into a bit of a rhythm and it was ok. Legs suffered on the uphills but I seem to have a much stronger state of mind now and wouldn't let myself turn around and take the easy way out, just know it's gonna be so worth it in the end

core and stretching 20:00 [3]

running-off road warm up/down 30:00 [3]

running-off road tempo 30:00 [3]

didn't manage to do the run this morning, figured if I was that tired it would be more beneficial for me to sleep more. Probably right, also gave legs a bit longer to recover and just could not face 55mins tempo. Did a few loops of the reservoir and some good stretching after warming up, calfs are pretty tight and as I'm preventing everything bad I've got the physio booked for wednesday to massage the shit out of them, will be good

running-road warm up/down 25:00 [3]

running-off road race 1:17:20 [4]

Karetai Challenge
was quite a bit on road and then most of the uphill on a grassy track thing. Went uphill, where I passed alot of people, downhill for ages down to beach where I got passed by people, just couldn't get my legs moving fast enough. UPHILL again for quite some time, just kept plugging away, took me quite a while to find a good pace then downhill for last 5 and a bit km. Decided I just needed to do longer strides and faster leg turnover and seeing as it was all gradual downhill and only 5k 2 go just boosted it. Was hoping to do around 20mins so was quite surprised when I'd done 3km in 11mins!!so just kept pushing and figured that was the whole point of doing the race and did the 5km in 17.20. Very pleased considering complete lack of speed work so far
