running 5:10:00 [3]

60km run, made up of two 30k loops on pathways with some road. Pleased to find that I'm finally learning how to pace, as my 2nd lap was within 8 minutes of the first (for me, this is progress).

Discovered also that my "wall zone" is between roughly 35 and 40km - during this time I generally hate running and anything around me, and I feel like I'm literally crawling. After that though, the leg pain and fatigue seems to subside and I can actually pick it up again - I was even able to sprint the the last 700-800m! Maybe not so much tomorrow though...

Sunday Mar 21, 2010 #

running 2:25:00 [3]

30km run on mainly pathways combined with some road. Eased off this week in preparation for next weekend's last long run before Seaton. Good thing too, as I felt genuinely beat up after yesterday's hills...

running 1:15:00 [4]

18km road run. Felt like lightening in the awesome mild temps - one of those rare runs where pushing hard feels less like pain and more like euphoria.

Sunday Mar 14, 2010 #

running 4:05:00 [3]

50km run - mapped out a double-loop route that allowed me to stick more to pathways and away from roads. Still an uninteresting city run though...

Only a month to go until Seaton!
