running 3:40:00 [3]

45km run - another mix of Humber trails and Browner's Marquis de Sade. Solid day - starting to feel that I'm slowly getting where I want to be at this point with a month to go before PYP.

Took Dee's advice and gave the Don trails a try. Still a bit soft, but drying quickly. So nice to finally get off the roads!

18km road run. Legs still sore from Sunday...

Crossfit 35:00 [5]

Browner convinced me to take part in a 'chipper' workout between the two of us and Mique & Mrs. Mique. Not sure if it was what I had for breakfast or my noticable lack of intensity training that caused me to lose said breakfast afterwards, but needless to say, I made the easy decision to scale back the 45k run I had planned for the day!

Interesting concept this Crossfit stuff - I can see the benefit and actually enjoyed the intensity, but I don't foresee making a regular part of my routine. Thanks Browner for coordinating!

30km run out and back along the Humber (after a long nap following the Crossfit debacle)

running 3:10:00 [3]

39km road run. Browner cooked this one up for me - a combination of my usual Humber route and a training run known by her and her running friends as the 'Marquis de Sade.' Fun mixture of steep hills and map-work through the maze of Old Toronto streets that the route followed. Legs were feeling this one!

Stupid sucky cold sucked the fun out of it at the end though, and I took yet another slip on some ice that was just slush and puddles last week. Seriously - are we done yet Mother Nature?

running 3:10:00 [3]

40km run out and back along the Humber from Browner's place in the spectacular Spring temps.

The Bad:
Still feeling lethargic after Nicaragua - hoping that this will finally fix itself once I start getting back into a regular routine.

The Good:
Still had legs at the end, so hopefully things are at least on track with long run training leading into Pick Your Poison at the end of April.

18km road run. Still feeling a bit of a fog from Nicaragua, but it's time to shake it off - big season ahead!

running 1:25:00 [3]

18km road run. Slipped on stupid ice again and banged the same hip I smacked up the last time I slipped on stupid ice. I swear that it's less dangerous running alone in the mountains than it is running through this stupid city in winter...
