Snogaine Day 2. Although we knew we'd be leaving at least one cluster and a couple of singles out there, we covered as much ground as we could before pointing towards home. A last-minute route change proved to be a bit foolish, but we still walked away with all but 7 CP's bagged. Good fun and great company - congrats to all of our Canadian teams for the strong showing!

Snogaine Day 1 with Browner. Haven't done this race before, but have been very curious as to what the fuss is all about (ie. why half of the registration list of a small orienteering event staged 5 hours from the GTA comes from our Ontario AR community!) Turns out it's a very fun event, in a long-slog-in-snowshoes kind of way. Browner and I hit all but one of our 23 intended CP's on the day, although we cut it a tiny bit too close at the end, giving us an extra 3 minutes to sleep in on Sunday (penalty minutes are multiplied by three and served at race start the next day).

Browner's discovery of the new Tailwater Lodge in nearby Altmar was the highlight of the trip - great rates (thanks to DD11), great restaurant and very plush beds made for a downright luxurious stay. If we only didn't have to get up and race all over again the next day... :)

Hilton/Halton/Bruce Trail run with Ursula and Julie P. DD11 joined us for the last km back to the lot (can't believe he's still standing after the February Challenge!) Ursula and I then continued on east of 6th Line. Legs were screaming by the end - damn that Mrs. Gally.... :)
