With peak event season killing any hope of regular training, I've decided to try borrowing from the crossfit philosophy of short barfy sessions by driving to my favourite hill sprint spot for level 5 intensity repeats. Feels a bit like cheating, but I figure getting in 32 minutes of something is better than a whole lotta nothing...
