skiing 6:00:00 [3] 10.0 mi (36:00 / mi)

Skied Mt. Tallac with Justin. Left Greenbrae at 5:00, got to trailhead at around 9 and skied to top. Ate lunch atop the mountain with magnificent views of Pyramid, Dicks and Jacks peaks. On the other side was a bird's eye view of the lake. I have this memory looking down at the lake of the boats slowly cruising by while eating a peanut butter and honey sandwich. Skied down the West side to find wet snow then back up and down the East side to our car. Great way to enjoy California!

running 1:00:00 [5] 6.0 mi (10:00 / mi)

Track with Brad Obrien. Did 1000s which really hurt. Stayed around 84s and can't seem to get faster. Legs perpetually fatigued but not too bad.

running 2:47:00 [3] 18.2 mi (9:11 / mi)

Did the Tuesday morning Cougar run and this time I really freaked myself out about Cougars and was still tired from Sunday. Glad to be at the top and done. Next week I ran in the afternoon which replaced cougar worries with stomach problems...

skiing 3:45:00 [3] 22.0 mi (10:14 / mi)

Ran with Charlie, Nick Wilton, Catts, Nacco and Mary Churchill from Ross, Fish, Shadyside, Alpine, Cataract, Northside, then up Eldrige to the top and down Eldrige. Raining the whole time. Felt awesome from being acclimated and starting to feel stronger. Took it hard on Shadyside and up Cataract.

skiing 3:00:00 [3]

Skied with Jon and bagged T-12 out of Bear Creek. Great to be above 13,000 feet and found amazing skiing. One part on the top was sketchy, other than that it was a cold, clear, fun beautiful day.

running 2:00:00 [3] 7.0 mi (17:09 / mi)

Ran from Jon's house up Galloping Goose. Probably did 1500 feet of altitude using YakTraks. Fun to listen to music--didn't feel totally acclimated but the views were great. Skied with MB in the afternoon.

biking 2:00:00 [3]

Biked with Mark up Lichau (felt pretty good but not great bike shape) then we FLEW to Santa Rosa (peaked at 30 mph) to watch the Tour de California at Hagan's bar. Drank lots of beer for the first time in a while-great to be on the bike! Left for Telluride at 4:00am Mon.!

running 4:05:00 [3] 22.0 mi (11:08 / mi)

Ran with Nick Wilton (started with Geoff and Greg Allen). Did Muir Woods up the waterfalls (Ben Johnson) then to Pantoll then Coastal out past Willow and back. Felt pretty good. Ate lots of GU...Nick was having a harder time so I stayed back with him. Need to be aware of injuries due to high weekly mileage...

running 2:42:00 [3] 18.0 mi (9:00 / mi)

Ran from 4:32-about 7:20 felt tired (sleepy tired) for the first time in a while). Got up to the top of Eldrige in about 1:11-1:12, so I was happy with that. Rumon's light works great. Always happy to get this workout in! Next week is off skiing so I have to wait a week...

running 7:15:00 [3] 40.5 mi (10:44 / mi)

Rezzies run! Felt pretty good the whole way (definitely better than previously years). Picked it up way hard three times (two on Coastal and one going up to Mtn. Theater) to try to tire Hauth's friend but to no avail. The result was no 50 for me (was thinking of adding on in the beggining).

skiing 6:00:00 [3] 8.0 mi (45:00 / mi)

Finished the trip with 6 miles down Ebbot's pass. Glorious downhill and totally manageable end of the trip. Finished with hotsprings in Markleeville, then the burgerspa and the last few minutes of the Superbowl! Great ending of trip but haven't run since Sunday and tomorrow's Thurs. Run knocked me out but looking forward to track and possible first 50 miler...
