Sussex's answer to Irma? Absolutely drenched. Rain coming off the greenhouses in sheets. Would have been funny if I hadn't had my phone on me.
Up to slindon and back through binsted for a post-work chill out. Not quite as relaxing as I had intended but still very enjoyable.

Note

Pedometer says I did 11k of walking just at work today. Perhaps new category of training should be 'waiting tables'.

Big session as working stupid hours from tomorrow till monday.

1 mile easy, 10 mile tempo, 1 mile easy. Took the first half steady and felt the benefit on the return journey. Surged all the way down through Felpham and into Flansham (6/7 miles). Began to tire coming back down the cycle track but was still aiming for a sub 1:10. Was looking like I was gonna do it with 1 mile to go but legs were not up for a fast finish. Something to work on. Still, much closer than last week. Feeling positive.

Still a good 30 seconds off my PB but at least quicker than last week. Bit of a headwind on way out. Felt pretty good; paced it well. Whole left hip/glute/hamstring complex hurts all the time.
