Walking 1:07:09 [1] 2.5 mi (26:52 / mi) +103m 23:49 / mi

T-Giving morn, to NHH around 0800. Power out as I left! Had to wait for a Turkey Trot 5k with hundreds of runners. Called back the days of 5k races in Burlington, finally struggling to stay ahead of a grandchild.

Nottingcook walk on an attractive section that I’d hadn't visited in years. I came across streamers that went on and on, not always in a single file - often some were quite a bit left or right and even bending/turning in ways that made no sense. It was hard to decide whether it was a hunter keeping track of where abouts of a stand I failed to see or MTBers engineering multiple paths too illogical to have stand. In any event, it was bothersome from BOS BOD perspective, stewards of the forest, yet persons unknown leaving forest 'trash' for unclear reasons. Orienteers need pick up their streamers as I believe they do.

Nice to be in local woods. Thanksgiving, beginning years back, always called for time in the woods before settling inside. In the past, many calories were burned. A Mt. Greylock run c. fall '94 comes to mind. Today was a far cry from then.
