Orienteering race 49:52 [3] 2.14 mi (23:18 / mi) +77m 20:58 / mi

UNO annual Dec meet & meeting at Beaver Brook. Pleasant day, low 40s. Did brown (2.7, 70m), blew #7. Had I not lost the path, it would have been trivial. Possibly 5’ there. Slow last leg from #8 in. But for the days of 10'/k or beating Sharon Crawford :-). I do like BB for locale (Ridge Rd approach appeal), attractive nature education center layout, terrain, path/woods options. UNO has been using it for years. It was nice to catch up some with peripatetic coach & Phil, closer to home, at Charlie's last night.

Meeting after, but I had to leave at 3p. JJ caught me outside regarding a Nottingcook meet for spring 2018. I was fine with that as 'assistant MD'.

Had to get to Bow for the December full moonrise which was in doubt as it was cloudy. But the moon humored me, being visible for about the time its diameter took to rise, be seen completely and then enter a cloud bank. It was labelled as a supermoon. I prefer the customary Cold Moon. That makes Oct., Nov & now December - trying for each full moonrise over the winter. Returning, who should I meet but BOS comrade Bob D., clearing trails with headlamp & leaf blower.
