Saturday Dec 23

trail/woods running 1:06:36 [2] 3.5 mi (19:01 / mi)
in Nottingcook, starting on far side (car ride) with Zoe & Mocha. Picked up 3 controls and 3 streamers in dripping, getting-dark woods.

Thursday Dec 21

trail/woods running 1:02:27 [3] 6.8 mi (9:10 / mi)
run home from work, do this not often enough. start 2 flat miles then ups and downs. dark roads but not much traffic so not a hassle, even some starlight. need to recheck distance to earn the pace claimed -:)

Monday Dec 18

trail/woods running 30:00 [3] 2.0 mi (14:59 / mi)
out the 'work door' at lunch, 5' jog to Concord HS track. Ran 1 400 'warmup' then 8:00 & 7:42 miles. The eight was exactly 2 minutes per lap without thinking about it. Wish they could have been a minute faster but this is the dark season, unlike the expectation of spring.

Sunday Dec 17

orienteering (mapping) 4:00:00 [1] 3.0 mi (1:20:00 / mi)
another 4 hours mapping, great weather. Dogs would not give up on dead deer leg, rotten meat etc. Guess I didn't yell enough.Found streamers stating 'lot line' from some 8 yrs ago when forest was the mindset of the local developer. Fortunately, town woke up, otherwise whispering pines would only be a name.
