Saturday Dec 30

orienteering 1:30:00 [2]
in Nottingcook with usual company; used color copy of field work, actually did some orienteering, no compass, got confused once or twice... Brightening sky. Wanted to map but can't in falling snow. Not a peep from nature, not even a mouse.

Friday Dec 29

weights (and run) 50:00 [3]
not that i would yet know (ie, take/have the time) how to separate run from weight, producing color graphs et al

20' earlyAM run in Nottingcook to keep dogs happy & were they ever with discovery of coyotes, a den we'd also 'dug up' more than a year ago - indignant yelps for quite a few minutes, no flesh exchanged. Rest Fri post-work at gym, rather boring, rather necessary...beneficial if consistent

AOWN - mice abound in this house, a few have joined us as pets for the winter, as they did last winter (at home on the kitchen counter) in their Petco trophy house

Wednesday Dec 27

trail/woods running 49:06 [3]5.0 mi (9:49 / mi)
Run from NHH around noon - by Concord Hospital, into St Paul's property. Manage to stay away from roads. Not much energy.

Tuesday Dec 26

weights 35:00 [1]
35' at gym, not been there since last April... a 'necessary burden'... various muscle groups need more use than they get.

Monday Dec 25

trail/woods running 40:00 [3]4.0 mi (10:00 / mi)
laps north of Burlington, Vt - woods to bluff by lake a few times.

Sunday Dec 24

orienteering (mapping) 2:15:00 [1]2.5 mi (53:59 / mi)
out with usual companions. Windy, nice. Saw a hare closeby (saw one 3 wks ago, pure white) this one was mostly white but what color to be in this snowless terrain.... Reasonably satisfied w/ mapping but under hemlocks alot on a slope, hard to get any useful point objects in place with respect to each other.
