Cardio 15:00 [3]

Cardiac stress echo at CH. Got to 14% and HR of 137 by time it was reasonable to stop - was not going to get much further. Test req'd 3 participants in addition to myself: cardiologist, echo tech and assistant for BP, orientation, putting on leads etc. Did ok - actually the cardiologist was impressed but he's comparing me to the average person being tested - which, frankly, probably isn't saying much fitness-wise. Fair # of pre-exercise PVCs but they mostly disappeared as I got going. No "global dyskinesis", no sx other than exercise-appropriate SOB. Maybe nearing the edge of the woods, so to speak.

Note

Beth & I went to Turee for an end-of-day DP. Sunset time is often photogenic.
Passed this sight too.

Cardio 34:21 [3] 2.27 mi (15:08 / mi) +1m 15:07 / mi

BHS track, walk 100 straights, run the curves, good effort work out.
Fine sunny day finally. Lacking regularity-consistency but the end is supposedly in sight. Nice V-tach profile if I may say so. HR by palpation 132 at end. Getting closer to utilizing the 310 HRM, still a bit too busy to focus on it.

Cardio @ Y.

Weightexercise workout 25:00 [1]

Rest of it.

Incredibly wet, rainy, miserable but still a long way to go to move the bridge as it has done twice in 22 yrs. I forget what "serious" rainfall is.

Note

Return of grey, miserable weather with a vengeance. Managed to visit Gillmore's Evergreen which brightened things a bit. At least the ferns and pachysandra are content in our yard.

Orienteering 1:24:58 intensity: (1:00:00 @1) + (24:58 @2) 2.16 mi (39:20 / mi) +120m 33:33 / mi

Picking up controls at Bear Brook after UNO meet. Tough with the blurring of the contours due to moderate to thick vegetation. Needed to stick with a bearing and pay close attention to the contours. Went to the nine I picked up but with more uncertainty than I bargained for. BB is certainly the old and the new. Really nice work by Ernst with course design, home laser printing of maps etc.

Note

Boat work leaving me tired by end of day so no CV exercise. So I'm looking forward to helping out at Bear Brook tomorrow, bugs and all.

The bp has been getting higher and higher recently, boat-stress stuff -- as well as the occasional technology confusion which can boil over, albeit rarely, but it did today.

I chase the bp with increasing meds. Came up with a subconjunctival hemorrhage today - has been many a year since I've had one. Maybe even a specific precipitant for today's. Still on warfarin which makes this all somewhat dicey. Dealing with stress...by getting out from underneath it, where 'the sun is shining'.
