Evening walk-jog on North Road - nice views of Camden Hills in late day light.
Brisk SW wind today. Long drive to Rockland, something we haven't done since 2014.

Cardio 15:00 [2] 1.0 mi (15:00 / mi)

First part off watch.
8 AM

Cardio 21:31 [3] 1.31 mi (16:26 / mi) +1m 16:23 / mi

BHS just before 9a. 90F in the forecast, so get it done. Thought I started the watch but a mile went by w/o paying attention. Another fellow, maybe in his 40s, was running seriously, fast and long in the oncoming heat.

Back from Quebec, 5 nights in two cities. Took some meandering roads between QC and Sherbrooke...lovely rural stuff...flat, then rolling, then hilly & forested. Quebec had fallen off my radar. Don't think I have been there much at all since 1984. We decided Montreal did predate '84. Late 70s & early 80s saw quite a bit of Canadian orienteering.

Walking 1:00:00 [1] 3.5 mi (17:09 / mi)

Walking til all one wants to do is sit down. Also the Red Bus tour. After the
busy, colorful street in the lower town, we walked a mile before realizing we were actually beyond the bus stop. It all looked pretty much alike on Rte 136 by the huge St. Lawrence river. Turned on data & gps & voila, truth be told and two miles to show for it. 5 nights in two cities could be a first. Watching eople sure can be entertaining. An abundance of talented street musicians and performers. Boston is quite provincial compared to Montreal.

Walking 1:06:00 [1] 3.5 mi (18:51 / mi)

Early Sunday walk, mostly on McGill campus. Went 31' before seeing my 8th person. Stayed between Ave des Pins and Sherbrook at mid-height, above the usually bustling city, and out of the green morning shadow of Mt. Royale.

Guessed 18'/mi.

Then to Quebec City, arrived on summer festival day - frightening # of tourists!
Went to the fortress, La Citadelle, then worked hard to get to the nearby B&B with construction detours, barres etc.
