Walking 45:00 [1] 2.0 mi (22:30 / mi)

Early morning, a Saturday, so it was most quiet given the city it is. In this Sandton City section of Johannesburg, there are so many substantial, innovative, mostly glass edifices. Wandered, heading toward maximum green which was residential for most part. Everywhere we've been are walls with electric fences on top and sturdy gates with surveillance warnings, private or commercial. Saw a fender bender shortly after it occurred. Puzzling how it occurred given the large, generally unoccupied expanse of hardtop at that hour.

Walking 28:30 [1] 0.96 mi (29:38 / mi) +4m 29:15 / mi

Around Kapama perimeter in part. Hot, mid-pm. I thought vacation would allow time for more "training" but the opposite is true. Up for a safari outing at 5am and also away at 4:30 for the same, leaving the 'lassitude' time of day for other activity. A nap sounds good - anything but exercise under the sun.

Cape Town waterfront from Portswood. GPS has my starting from a place I was nowhere near this morning. Baffling.

First thing, to Signal Hill. Chilly start. Went up one street which dead-ended in spite of what the map said. Terrain much like southern California. Got to cannons but not the very top. Had to turn around to be back. This gpx from the 310. Strava needs, duh, internet/data connection.
