Black Brook loop on Beth's bike - first of those and first bike ride in years. Took a lot of doing to rally the bike, tire inflation, find the bike rack & mount it, get the bike in the rack one way or another and the rest went pretty smoothly tho I had to walk on several hills. Legs were definitely wobbly when I got off to walk. Went CW. The two Beths & I went for a car ride to Kimball last eve and today I went in the opposite direction. Last eve’s ride served as the impetus for the bike effort. The back was OK, everything was OK enough except for the lack of conditioning and, truth be told, “mastery” of gear changing, optimal and otherwise. It was cool enough and most of ride was in shade. Glad to be doing something.

Slough & return with Willow, keeping out of sun. Slough is dry except for the stream running thru it - all green, mostly tall grass. Beaver dam must have been damaged etc. Blue berries ready for picking, not as concentrated as I would like. A lot of bending, kneeling. Sun ahead, breeze behind going & the opposite returning.
