Stoneybrook to end of Arnold. Mild, lovely. Have been meaning to get front wheel off "country" walker to be able to get it in the back of the car and find more interesting walks. Climb always 25-27m for this walk - might actually be quite right.

Back is more sore these days. I likely ask too much of it. For the most part, there's never been much pain. I feel like I have an 'iron corset' over most of it though and a lot of it is numb from severing cutaneous nerves in surgery. These go unnoticed more than 50% of the time. What I've learned about my various surgeries is that 6 months to a year (or even more) are needed for the "final" result that I'll be living with.

No recent rides. To Rundlett yesterday with DD coffee, raining pretty hard. Beth walked W. eventually. Today, she went into Shaws for nearly an hour while we waited.

To end of Arnold. Rained hard last night; gray, raw day & a light rain halfway thru. Wet gray wx compounded by corona virus daze. Actually depressing!

To end of Arnold, start 6:20. So quiet, just occ. birdsong, the stream rushing in the nearby woods and the occasional passing vehicle. Waved to each - the bike moves like a snake in the grass so needed to be careful on the long hill without both hands in place.

Today’s drive picked up where yesterday’s left off. Got to Hillsboro quickly. Brought back memories of Fox Forest O and pre-bypass days. These old NH towns, esp. ones on rivers have so many interesting/intriguing/dilapidated structures. We found ourselves on Clement Hill Rd, wooded and eventually sparsely populated. There was an audubon conservation stretch where the road was occ worrisome for our vehicle - some pretty deep ruts. When we finally returned to hardtop it was like getting out of detention. Passed thru Weare center (always begs “where?”), and back on 77.

Asked PT not to come today due to corona risk exceeding benefit.

Elegant home in the woods, before the road dropped down to uncomfortable levels of roughness. Ancillary buildings across the narrow road.

End of Arnold, start around 6pm. Bird song and peepers audible from far end of Arnold. Dry, mostly sunny. On to April!

Ride to Henniker and then west on Western Ave and back the same way.
Contoocook River was impressive with water flow and rapids. East of Contoocook town it's slow and peaceful, kayak safe.

Stoneybrook to end of Arnold. Gray & raw which became pleasant enough with time. Had rain, some thunder and lightening and some hail last night.

West Point was cancelled. Just a question of time in my mind. We were recalling a period when the meet was held in September. It will resurrect as surely as the Billy Goat will continue to climb mountains this spring or later.
