Elm Brook Park with Beth & W. Fine fall day, the last of September. It started with wind and rain, sunshine by noon, windy NW, dying by late pm. Went to the end of old 202 as we’ve done now a good # of times in spring and summer. I have more adventure energy now so we climbed the big knoll by the dead-end road that failed to generate enough curiosity previously when walking off hard or flat surface seemed too much. We found a smaller knoll on the edge of the water - a perfect endpoint.
At the end of the road there was a somewhat neglected parked car with all 4 windows down about 3”. There was nowhere to walk other than the knoll, given water and swampy surroundings. I was tempted to look in to see what was what but respect for privacy trumped concern for what might be.
