Orienteering 1:05:04 [1] 3.02 mi (21:33 / mi) +46m 20:34 / mi

Stopped by College Woods to do the recent UNO brown course (3.1k, 11c). Fine weather for it, walked to just about all w/o difficulty although there were no markers to pinpoint exactly where in maybe two places. Did the course backwards - S/F being superimposed. I got it in my mind on arrival I was crossing the ball field. Got to the 'first' one, number was not #1 (but #11), so decided to do the course in reverse. More open woods than I remembered, esp for full vegetation. Quite a few Sunday walkers.

The same gpx file from Strava imported to AP says 2.54 mi, 63:49. My Garmin 310 gpx says 2.12 mi, 64:31. Seems like a 'go figure' instance - 3.02, 2.54, 2.12 mi depending on which gpx and/or platform/software used.

Fine day for a change. Walked some of the various paths, noted the island that came up at the last BOS mtg.

With Lin, Mika, Annie & Willow. Californians aren't accustomed to seeing so much green.

Walking 36:54 [1] 1.18 mi (31:21 / mi) +1m 31:16 / mi

Around Memorial Field, past two school yards full of playing kids at mid-morn break. Green mansions of lawn grass and green jungles of surrounding woods.

Walking 18:36 [1] 0.47 mi (39:36 / mi)

While Beth was at PT, raining fairly hard. Novel enough, over to freshly planted corn with a sign asking users to keep off new shoots in the large field. I put W on her leash and walked a 3' wide strip by the lagoon, well-endowed with goose poop - then onto the rickety-rackety RR tracks and back to the car.

A gray, chilly start to June. But still a bright moment.
