Walking 27:40 [1] 0.73 mi (37:54 / mi) +1m 37:44 / mi

With Beth & W, directed by avoidance of snow/ice in places. Our favorite Concord city park for variety namely.

Life & Eagle Trails with Ken, gray, threatening rain but
only a few sprinkles.

Walking 42:46 [1] 1.01 mi (42:10 / mi) +22m 39:31 / mi

Picked the route because the initial mostly bare south-facing slope under hardwood trees was beckoning vs an icy road thru pines. Left the unused trail and 'wandered' around, snow patches coming & going, eventually coming to the path and road making for a bit of 'adventure'. Wish I'd taken the O map for a reality check.

Willow's DP. Best perimeter yet but used both sidewalks and north end was largely bare of snow. Near 60F.

Around MGH associated with time between appointments. Neurosurgeon gave me an A+ for recovery, three years to the (Valentine’s) day that I came in need of surgery. Near mid-50s, fun to be on the Charles - goes way back, to 1971-2 in particular. I'd expected to get to Great Brook Farm in Carlisle for orienteeringbut what turned out to be spaced-out appointments at 11 & 2pm nixed that idea. Having W along complicated things but the walk was certainly her highlight. She'd not seen such a busy city (particularly Storrow traffic) or more-reserved city dogs.

Walking 46:03 [1] 1.1 mi (41:52 / mi) +42m 37:26 / mi

Great Hill with W. Bright sun, warm, March in the offing. It'd been a while since last visit. Couldn't see Washington but Monadnock and Crotched Mt. were fine distant silhouettes from Dorie's Ledge.

Walking 37:54 [1] 1.45 mi (26:08 / mi) +2m 26:01 / mi

Before & during New Hampshire HS state champs indoor track meet at Dartmouth field house. It was fun to see young men and gals running so fast, jumping, throwing etc. Interesting athletic facilities, quite spread out. Interesting to be at Dartmouth given UNO’s A meet event at Burnt Mt, my last BG there and the campus O event I’d practically forgotten about.

This being Super Bowl Sunday, we went to the movie when I got home - saw 'Titanic' again as we did in 1997 - 3.5 hrs for movie and 125 miles RT for the meet, maybe 30' in between at home. Fortunately, a one-off event of a day.
