Thursday May 30 #

12 PM

Walking (Hanson Park, Bow) 33:11 [1] 1.14 mi (29:06 / mi) +14m 28:02 / mi

Out around noon, rain had stopped, sky was lightening. Woods were not the least inviting. Rarely visit this park. Expectedly empty on a weekday late morning.
5 PM

Walking (Rollins) 20:04 [1] 0.6 mi (33:26 / mi) +3m 32:55 / mi

On the way to town - the sun shining on a previously wet, dreary day. W saw some like-minded and Trump being found guilty made it memorable.

Kayaking (Kimball Pond) 53:57 [1] 1.27 mi (42:29 / mi) +12m 41:16 / mi

Early morning kayak - cool, breezy. Didfn't see a soul. Last here 3/31 for kayaking. The water lilly pads/early flowers grow rampant along the north shore, reducing open water appreciably.
11 AM

Walking (Nottingcook) 25:35 [1] 0.68 mi (37:30 / mi) +10m 35:52 / mi

Brush dump visit, Willow DP. Cool enough in the shade, breezy in the open, ie, no bugs to speak of.

Walking (Great Hill) 1:10:01 [1] 1.5 mi (46:46 / mi) +48m 42:32 / mi

With Beth & W - breezy, sunny perfect visit. Fun to ponder Monadnock from afar today.

3 PM

Walking (BHS) 54:26 [1] 1.85 mi (29:26 / mi) +35m 27:48 / mi

On the way to town, it dawned on me that BHS would be deserted on (a dreary) Memorial Day which indeed it was. Walked thru Evans (being in a cemetery w/ scattered flags on M Day also dawned on me) and cont'd on a good bit of a BHS campus circumnavigation. Met four people - twin brothers at the track and a couple by Turee with a 5 m/o puppy that Willow simply had to meet.
