Running (Raid the Hammer) 4:30:00 [3] 25.0 km (10:48 / km)

Lost our timing chip at 17....pissed!!!

Time and distance and estimate, but close enough. I hear the full course was over 30km.

Felt pretty good considering the lack of training. My first go at one of these events too. Fun for the most part but didn't really get in a groove reading the map that was totally new to me....new scale, very busy with features....but better than those damn cartoon maps!

I think we were moving pretty good but didn't really understand "Walk the Line" and missed 15a, had to back for it. Dropped from 10th or so to 20th or so after that as we weren't making very good time.

Thought we could turn in around in the "advance nav" section, but then we lost out timing chip. Didn't feel like toughing it out for nothing so we walked in it on the roads.

Good training, and since the next one is in Niagara area I will be there for a spring run.

Hamilton gets a bad rap for some reason, but I find it hard to beleive many industrial cities have such amazing trail networks. Who knew.....well I know a lot of ppl on here do, but I didn't !!

Didn't feel like walking otthe gym in the dark/cold so I stayed home and hit the Matt Hart 600s. Wicked 25min home workout. I was drenched.

Here is his version - http://coachingendurance.com/blog/2009/06/corys-60...

I did:

20 of each

Squats
Push-ups
Leg lifts
Lunges
Wood Choppers
Sit-ups

5 times each, no rest.
