Trix wasn't into it this morning, so we went for a pleasant early fall walk in the back 40. I dropped her off and then decided to do the braids, head smashed in, whalebacks and the Main Loop at tempo. Good burn.

Dances with Dirt. Time is an estimate of the total of warmups and my 3 stages of this uber cool event. 400 teams of five over 100 km of mid-Michigan bush and nasty terrain. Total trail combat. Tarno, Almaggedon, Griz , Katey Mac and me made up of team of Mitochondriacs.

A few bobbles that cost us a bit, but we ended up 8th overall in absolute terms. There is a generous point system that favours older runners and women. So our position on the "handicapped" list will certainly be top 3. For some reason I got all the boggy bits and water running sections.

Very slow long distance. Trix called it a day after 40 minutes. Dropped her off and then joggy jogged for what seemed only a short while, but ended up being an hour and a half. Strange experience of time out there in the woods.
