run 1:45:00 [3]

WoH III. An almost perfect day for it. 5 degrees, some rain yesterday. Meant for good strong flow. The falls put on a fine show. A bit slick in spots, but folks were game. Ghoslow again seemed to be taking shortcuts that defied all natural laws. A wonderful group of our runner friends joined in the run and after for soup, bagels, domestique coffee and my most excellent waffles augmented with whip cream, strawberries and syrup.

Longest run in two months. Knee held up

run 48:00 [3]

Loopy around K2. Fresh pow at the top. Trix was more interested in the run. Knee still aches, so saw Todd Bentley last night and he's suggesting an MRI. Likely just garden variety arthritis stemming from my Norway injury. Sigh.

run 41:00 [3]

Poking around the valley with Trix. She doesn't seem into it lately.

Sunday Dec 25, 2011 #

run 1:10:00 [3]

What a lovely Christmas day in the valley. Trix decided to blow the run off by staging one off her trademark sitdown strikes at Canterbury falls. So I trotted her home and enjoyed the Deeve on my own. Would have been nice to have a foot of snow on the ground, but, hey, a pretty go of it nonetheless.

Friday Dec 23, 2011 #

run 37:00 [3]

Run around Aman park with Balogna and Trix. First run in the US of A for the Canadog.

Wednesday Dec 21, 2011 #

run 45:00 [3]

Deep dark run around the valley.

Sunday Dec 18, 2011 #

run 40:00 [3]

Pretty run with Balogna and TRix. Knee holding up. Donny Smith did some really ugly stuff to the meniscus area below the kneecap and that seems to have really calmed things down.

run 1:00:00 [3]

First SMT in a while. Haven't lost everything, but felt pretty tired at the end. Turbo and special guest Meridien came out. Dogs joined the herd and a cameo at the end with Hammer and Etoile. Saw Balogna off in the distance at one point, but she was lost in iPod space and couldn't hear us hoo-hooing.

run 35:00 [3]

Up K2 and back. Trix keeping a close watch on things. Deer have been getting a bit uppity lately.

Note

Almost two months without much activity. Turbo did this documentary:

Sunday Dec 11, 2011 #

run 40:00 [3]

Beautiful run with T Rix. Had to chase her awhile to get her to spit out the poopsicle she found at the top of K2, but that counts as my interval for the week. Knee is manageable and I now have a sense of where to concentrate the therapy, stretching and rolling (inside hamstring just above the knee)

Saturday Dec 10, 2011 #

run 30:00 [3]

Test run. Still a bit tentative, but definitely on the improving side.

Note to PH: "once garlic is digested, its volatile oils are carried into the bloodstream and circulated to the lungs, where its odor is exhaled for up to 72 hours." Learned that on the Intertubes after Balogna and Trix fled the hottage in horror. Thanks. Thanks a lot.

Friday Dec 9, 2011 #

Note

Still being a knee-jerk. But now throwing therapy at it. WIll try a test run on Sunday. Anyone for a frozen trail ride in the morning? SMT-B!

Sunday Dec 4, 2011 #

run 47:00 [3]

Main loop with a K2 dodge. Hibernation exemption. Knee felt fine during the run, but hours later is ache-y again. Crap. Time to seek help. R&R only goes so far.

Saturday Dec 3, 2011 #

Cycle 55:00 [3]

Pretty, early December ride.

Thursday Dec 1, 2011 #

Note

3rd annual falls run to be combined with SMT this year. December 31 from the hottage. All welcome. Start at, say, 9am? 9:30? There'll be waffles made by the badass waffle maker!
