Sunday Dec 28, 2014 #

run 40:00 [3]

Family run with Trix and the ever lovely Balogna. Feeling tapped into popular culture with a Youtube viewing of The Interview. Because Freedom! Because America! Because Internet. Some amusing bits.

Saturday Dec 27, 2014 #

run 1:40:00 [3]

SMT with Hammer, Tarno and AlMagedon. Two sick runners, but the spring conditions sorted them out a bit. I think.

Tuesday Dec 23, 2014 #

run 1:05:00 [3]

Super workout with Fiona, Duane and Christine. Hardest run in Hamilton this evening. Pump house loops with variations. Trix was underfoot most of the evening for some reason.

Gym 1:03:00 [3]

Unsupervised gym workout. Conor gone for Christmas. Bummer. Balogna kept me going though.

Sunday Dec 21, 2014 #

run 1:10:00 [3]

Lovely run with Supe and Katey Mac and dogs. Deeve put on a fine light show to tempt Super back into the woods. Entertained ourselves on Skunk Hollow by comparing fat rolls.

Saturday Dec 20, 2014 #

run 1:40:00 [3]

gorgeous cmt with Hammer, Sudden and a bit of Anvil

Friday Dec 19, 2014 #

Gym 1:05:00 [5]

Workouts really ramping up. Tabata on the rope machine and Jacobs ladder torture device. Super weird burpees with a kettle ball and bosu. Balogna was in the house and so Conor made it just that much more difficult.

Thursday Dec 18, 2014 #

run 40:00 [3]

Family loop. Still doing my annual winter slowdown.

Tuesday Dec 16, 2014 #

run 55:00 [3]

first tnt in a month. Boy that felt good. Long intervals 3 by 10 minute triple eights. I've become slower; that'll have to change.

Monday Dec 15, 2014 #

Gym 1:00:00 [5]

No more Mr. Nice Coach

Sunday Dec 14, 2014 #

run 1:10:00 [3]

Run with Katey Mac and quadrupeds tearing up the valley.

Saturday Dec 13, 2014 #

run 1:50:00 [3]

Whew finally a pleasant long run. Easy pace around the classic SMT route backwards with some exploration early and late in the run.

Friday Dec 12, 2014 #

Gym 55:00 [4]

First really hard workout in nearly a month. Felt good.

SMT tomorrow if anyone is in town.

Wednesday Dec 10, 2014 #

run 38:00 [3]

family loop. Giving myself an easy week to lick my wounds. Had hoped to make it to tnt yesterday, but work, of all things, got in the way.

Monday Dec 8, 2014 #

Gym 55:00 [3]

Reintroduction to the gym. Still super tired.

Sunday Dec 7, 2014 #

run 55:00 [3]

First run since the Great Cambodian Flameout. Legs still feel sore and depleted, but it was so nice to be out on the Main Loop with trix and the clear air of a cold early winter day.

Monday Dec 1, 2014 #

run 1:20:00 [3]

Time is an estimate. Bailed in a haze under the heat and humidity of a tropical jungle. Note: jungle races are evil.

Oh, and Turbo, you were absolutely right. The course is mind-numbing. Cool campsites, but 220 kilometers of dead flat terrain is deeply unappealing. And Stefan says your year was even hotter and more humid. Unimaginable. We're going to give you this one: maybe we should have listened to you a bit more closely.
