run 1:40:00 [3]
classic smt route with Ralph, NewPatrick and special guest appearance from Magnus. I am, of course, in my November hibernation mode until the great New Years falls run. That means a nice el relaxo pace. NewPatrick, being Tasmanian and all, can only fall back on estivating, which is an obscure concept that doesn't apply to larger mammals. That means that it fell on me to make sure he maintained a summer pace (even though I didn't have to, given that I was hibernating and all), which turned out to be surprisingly hard to do.
He even defied me at one point as I directed him up the perfectly standard hill climb after the Burlington Runner's bridge. He refused: Naaah. I'm not doin' that. I was stunned, but what could I do? I don't have the same commanding presence of coach Sudden. I'm just some guy.
Note
putting the pussups on hold. Have to do some more focussed shoulderhab. Acupuncture, which works so well for Balogna, may also be the answer for me.
