Note

I think all ARX-ers should be paired with fit older athletes who only know a teeny tiny bit of navigation. This is selfish of me, yes, because I learned a lot from Christian, but I like to think he picked up a thing or two from me, even if it was to force ourselves to eat something at the hour and a half mark. Oh, and that there is always the possibility that you won't miss a cut off, no matter how dire it looks.

I couldn't have had more fun out there on Saturday. Thanks, Christian, for leading our team.

Gym 1:03:00 [3]

Hard gym workout, especially after two hard winter outings. May have done something to my hammies.

Skate Skiing 1:30:00 [3]

First time on skis in more than a decade. Not pretty, but managed to stay with the group and enjoy the perfect conditions at Duntroon.

Most excellent Snowshoe Raid with Christian. Once we cleared the matrix, we (Christian) basically made no mistakes. He is a confident and capable navigator and we did it with very little help from other team's tracks. Bit of a cliffhanger getting in for the 2:30 matrix cutoff, but got there with seconds to spare. Then a cruise in.

Weirdly, my feet are super sore the next day.

run hills 50:00 [4]

Good to get out in the crisp cold winter air. Ran after sunset, but without lights. Love running to snow glow.
