Gorgeous run with hammer around the main loop, along the whalebacks, down into hammerfell, past head-smashed-in-deer-jump, through skunk holler and up himmelbjerg.

Did it! 39:47.

Wasn't a whole lot of fun, but a good old downpour at 8k saved the day and put some gas back in the tank. Damn, 10k is a hard distance.

Bonus: the two guys ahead of me were, as it turns out, running the 15k. All of which became clear to me when we got to the 10k turn around, when, boom!, I was suddenly in the outright lead. And stayed there. And won the race outright. Which is pretty damn cool.

Double bonus. Seeing Balogna out there on the 5k course enjoying herself and running strong. First woman over 50;second runner regardless of gender over 50. Not that she was in any way, like, racing or anything
