run 20:00 [3]

Aggregate time for various warmups

run race 25:00 [5]

Leg 4 of Dances with Dirt. By this point in the race we're easily in the top 15 of 450 teams. I pass one runner. Not a lot of mud this year. Definitely getting hot by this time (about 9:30)

run 48:00 [5]

Let 10. We're in top 12. Just. 34 degrees celsius. As hot as I've run since the desert races. Felt surprisingly smooth and comfortable. Managed a 4:45/km pace, which got me passed one more team and closing in on another. Amazing swim in the lake immediately after.
3 PM

run race 24:00 [5]

Leg 13. Comfortably in top 10. This one took me by surprise because I thought Grizz was next, but nope it was me. So no time to warmup before Katey Mac got back from her leg. All of are running well. No injuries; no mishaps. Finished with Tarno getting pimped at the line by some kind of cross-country running star, but still ended up 8th overall. Placing will be higher once the age category calculations come in in a few days.

Such fun to run with these people.

Trailtervals, but dialled back a notch as I once again get ready for ... hell

Gym 1:00:00 [4]

got my new pro-level jump rope (a delightfully thoughtful gift from Balogna) into the game today. Managed to get to 60 jumps. Plus other gym stuff

run tempo 48:00 [4]

Boot around Main Loop. Rox is definitely figuring out how to get air when jumping on what she thinks is a mouse or squirrel.
