Saturday Jan 20 #

run 1:02:00 [3]

OK, now I'm tired. Five days of running 2-3 hours/day, then the red eye, then SMT. But good to be out in the fresh air and human scale of the valley. Good to have one more run with DD before he heads over to Denmark. Both DD and HC running well. Even if they know nuthin' about racing in the cold.

Friday Jan 19 #

run 1:20:00 [3]

Super run for the last day in socal.

Thursday Jan 18 #

Not sure if we'll be home on time for SMT. It'll be Anvil's call.

run 2:20:00 [3] 9.6 mi (14:35 / mi)

Mostly downhill running on the backbone trail. A bit of a leather run, finishing at the MASH set, which was actually pretty cool.

Wednesday Jan 17 #

run 3:02:00 [3] 13.0 mi (14:00 / mi)

a longer day. The Millennium loop took us past all the outrageously overly built mansions of Calabasas snagged up into the mountains and cheek by jowl with the wilderness we were running in

Tuesday Jan 16 #

run 2:14:00 [3] 18.5 km (7:15 / km)

More backbone trail. Not as spectacular as yesterday, but good trails and some faster bits.

Monday Jan 15 #

run 2:46:00 [3] 10.6 mi (15:40 / mi)

First time trail running in socal. Santa Monica mountains are lovely, trails are buff and straightforward, weather was a perfect 20. Back bone trail.
