Endurance wod. 500 meter row, 20 v ups, 200 meter burden carry. Super fun because I got to burden carry Mikala, who is, like 8, and weighs 68 pounds. Live burdens have the secret benefit of knowing that it's beneficial to everyone involved to hang on tight.

20.2. Such a blast. AMRAP in 20 minutes of
4 35bl Dumbbell thrusters
6 toes to bar
24 double unders

slight disappointment in not being able to do this full RX. Double unders escape me--though I think I'm getting close. So single unders for that part; DU's are next year's problem.

But I RX-ed the other two components. And managed 14 rounds plus 4 thrusters=480.

Doing 35 lb DB thrusters and official toes to bar for that many reps is MILES ahead of where I was in March at the last open. Couldn't even do T2B's then; just knocked off 84 credible reps in 20 minutes. This steady sense of progress after a long slow build up is the secret to the success of the cult of crossfit.

A new workout I invented. Anti-hills. absolutely murder the downhills and flats. Rest on the uphills. It buried us. Jordan didn't much like it.

New goal added to all the other goals. Hand. Stand. Pushups. It's just such a boss move. I gotta do it. Oh, and I'm determined to do a full RX Murph this year. I don't care if takes me two hours. Here's a Murph: one mile run, 100 pull ups, 200 push ups, 300 squats, one mile run. November 11. All welcome.

WoD today was handstand pushups and double unders. Exactly two things I can't do. But I try. I try hard. Someday.

Didn’t much feel like it going in. There are days when everything feels crunchy and stuck. But, hey, its what we do and the workout with balogna as my partner was a blast and now I feel good again. So. There you Have it.
