Certain death for anyone going into the Valley without spikes. jagged ice throughout. Great fun to have the Ice Bugs super power traction. Even on hard glare ice, it's just a matter of stomping a bit harder.

Legs. And, big breakthrough, overhead squats with an 35 pound bar! Huge. I couldn't do that with a PVC pipe a year ago. Mobility matters.

Back into the spikes, and looks like things will stay icy for a spell. Aside from a bit of rain, trails and conditions were great. Turdo and I got a little farther a little faster than last time.

The big lifting day. Starting to actually do overhead squats with less than toy weights. Super satisfying.

Off the roof! Serious snow load in the flatter parts, so thought it best to shovel it off.

Better trail conditions meant I could actually run wide open today. Some relief for the hip flexors and calves. 4 by 8 minute tempo runs. Some snow coming down, just to keep things clean and white.
