Last of the snatch classes. Duncan set it up as lifting competition, which was oddly fun. I still struggle with lifts over 80 pounds—they end up being presses—but, hey, much better than I was.

Another purdy morning. 5 one km spurts with Jordan. Rather than do this back and forth on Monarch, as is our habit, we just decided to take the Valley as it comes. Made it more challenging and more fun. Especially the single track bits.

Back to the Jungle Gym with Mike and Anvil. Drills. Learning how to get comfortable under the bar. Feel so fortunate to have this outdoor space and good people to enjoy it with.

Monday May 13 #

I used the 10am class as a warmup for workout 4, and then got right into it with Kristen as my judge. 30 cleans, 30 toes to bar, 30 thrusters for time. 10 minute cap. 75# for the lifts. The weight was a bit of a gift. Did the cleans in one continuous set, each from the ground. Broke the T2B into sets of 5 for the first 20, then 4, then 3 and 3. The thrusters were the bugger, but managed 3 sets of 10, with the last set pretty much burning down the house. Total time 5 minutes 40 seconds, which to my mind is pretty dang fast, if I do say so. Results will be released tonight at around 9. Super fun little run with the Games.
