Running intervals 39:16 [4] 6.9 km (5:41 / km) shoes: Asics Kayano 21
Decided it was time to get some speed and strength back into the legs and headed out to do an interval session. A rather nice day after a week of un-spring like weather (it snowed as I headed home from work on Tuesday!) and enjoyed putting the effort in. Did a 15 min warm-up then did a set of 1-2-1-2-1-2-1 min intervals with 1 min rest between each. Not particularly quick, but got faster over the set. Finished up with a jog home and 20 step-ups on each leg in the park.
Orienteering25:26 [3] 2.6 km (9:47 / km) shoes: Inov 8 O shoes
Hilly terrain run. Ran back to the car through the forest, zig-zagging up and down the slope. Tried to run hard up the hills and succeeded, although the deinitionof "hard" has slipped a bit with the lack of fitness. Still, a good session to get back into the swing of things in preparation for a few O races in May and June.
