The grip was ok first kilometer, but after that I didn't have grip at all until I reached Heinsuo (12 km left). Then I started to even enjoy the skiing and I was just one minute slower than Matikka from Heinsuo.

Street/Snow O in Salpakangas - Back to realitity from Portugal and orienteering in 50 cm of snow. From the start everyone left different speed than I did. At the 2nd cp I catched most of them, coz it was next to my most common run - tour de great brick lake. For the 3rd on I made terrible route choice, mostly because Minna Kauppi chose that one too. I knew that Hirppa's route choice would have been much better but I just couldn't keep my decision. I didn't have enough energy to follow Minna and others and from the halfway 2-3 leg I ran on my own. From the sixth cp I chose deep snow route choice and I lost almost 2 minutes on that leg.. Rest of the track went ok, mostly because I had man made paths already in snow.

4th race POM10 - Normally when I have really bad race day before next one, it means good result for the next day. I get from bad results feeling that I want to show myself that I can still orienteer. This one wasn't exception. 2 x 30 sec mistake and 6th place and 2,5 min loss for winner. Good finishing for the week and it's 2-2 with my brother, so it looks tough competition again.. (2009 ended for draw 10-10)

1st race of POM10. Big mistake for 3rd cp and few smaller. But actually this went pretty well coz it was normal distance competition and 1:15000. Those normally doesn't suit for me.

Night Sprint - Last year this went well and expedictions were high this year too. In halfway of the race I read 15 sec wrong leg and that was only major mistake. Loss to roommate aaantol of course annoys, but I was satisfied for 2nd place in M21A.
