Jukola LS-37 III 5th leg
Before the run I had good feeling because 1st team was running well and our team's three previous runners had pushed very well.
NTNUI's Morten Saue (does Seqi know?) started at the same time and at first I thought he was on the 6th leg when I saw his number (59) but soon realised we had the same leg. On the way to 8th I lost him in the bush and I think I could had followed him by having map in the roll but at that point I didn't guess it was the tube part of our leg (should have followed the TV broadcast!!). So I lost him and soon I had lost everyone else. It was strange to run 3 legs without seeing anyone going same direction. It makes you think you are in wrong place and you triple check everything though you shoudn't do that.
During rest of the race I made some 20-30 sec mistakes on last controls but didn't do any big one. It was quite well by this orienteering and training experience from this year. I have trained less than 50 hours this year and run twice in yökuppi, three competition (KYV, 10mila, FS) and two evening events. Even more strange it makes the fact that my leg position was 3rd best (better ones in Salo and Mikkeli) which I have ever had so I need to be satisfied for my performance though in actually I was really slow.
