Running warm up/down 30:00 [2] 4.0 km (7:30 / km)
(sick) shoes: VJ Integrator

Warm up
Tapanila-test run start place-one lap with Emma Hyyppä (D14) leading and making 30m gap to H21 guys...

Running race 27:08 [4] 5.18 km (5:14 / km) +75m 4:53 / km

XC-test run
A week ago I thought to myself that I could try a time between 26 and 26'30. But then some tiny little germs crawled into my blood stream and took all the energy out of me. Yesterday the goal was under 30', so after all I'm actually quite pleased about the time. Over half a minute away from last year's record time. Although I have a feeling that somehow that route was faster than last year...
Running felt just like expected. My throat wanted me to stop after two laps but I kept on going. Lungs were really sore after the run.
I noticed that either it's the disease or then I really lack some strength in my legs. In every ditch crossing and other obstacle my speed reduced to almost null. I just couldn't push over it.

Orienteering warm up/down 20:00 [1] *** 2.0 km (10:00 / km)
(sick) shoes: VJ Integrator

Map training back to Tapanila where there was an "aisle" in the map that we had to stay on. I've lived next to this terrain for 20 years so it wasn't much of a challenge.

Note
(sick) (rest day)

No fever yesterday so getting better. Climbing stairs one floor is still enough of a chalenge so some rapid improvement needed if I wanna beat my last year's xc-test run times tomorrow.

Almost 3h of walking and taking photos at RaVa competition. Feeling a lot better than yesterday. Hopefully I'll get into some sort of shape before tuesday.

Same as yesterday.

After long thought, I decided not to participate to tomorrow's competition. I really would've wanted to but at this moment cycling back from grocery store was almost an invincible task. If I'm still among the living tomorrow morning I think I drag my ass to the last control and do some paparazzing there.
El Clásico in 45min! Blaugrana will crush Los Blancos 4-1.
Edit: Well, crush was the correct verb but the result was 6-2.

Yökuppi mass start
I had a pretty feverish feeling in the morning but thermometer claimed everything is normal.

I might not be running today but LIVE is on at ~22:00 (21:00CET). There's 3-4 guys with tracking equipment. Terkelsen (KLe) and I (KHi) might have a fierce battle.

Running warm up/down 15:00 [1] 2.6 km (5:46 / km)
shoes: VJ Integrator

Orienteering race (night-o) 1:05:00 [1] *** 6.0 km (10:50 / km)
(sick) shoes: VJ Integrator

I must say that I didn't enjoy a single thing about this night's Yökuppi. The terrain was awful and I'm getting a flu which took all my powers away. And to top it off it wasn't night o at all. I tested to read map without my headlight at #8 and sort managed to. And due to this lightness I got late from the start a bit (I was warming up and thought that start can't be in another 15min...). I was there in time but my GPS took about 6min to fix. Although part of that time I was moving.
If I would have to guess now, I won't run on sunday. I might be spectating with my camera. Every 13th runner is from our club.

(rest day)

Nine to five work and almost straight away to football stadium to watch FC Lahti win RoPS 4-1. It was friggin' freezing out there!! Now I have a feeling that it might've been so cold that I catched it, the cold I mean. Of course it may be swine flu also...
