well i made the mistake of not wearing any pants for this race and ran in shorts. It was very bad running through the woods and i finally gave up when i was bleeding enough and walked some parts... i was also pretty tired becuse we had just run a long time right before this.

Sunday May 21

well this was a disaster. I was standing around at the start for a while and i think i let my mind wander so when i got out in the woods i found it hard to concentrate. I was sortof slow for the first five but i found them alright. Then on number six i decided that i would not follow where my compus was showing me to go and i ended up way too far to the right then i thought i was going and ended up in green slash (which was very hard to move in) and i had trouble figuring out where in the world i was so i retraced my steps to a large stream that i knew where it was on my map and then tried to go from there but ended up hitting the wrong reentrant and went off in the wrong direction again until i found where i was and found the control about 15min later... The rest of the course was kinda slow and i was very unsure with myself from there on in and just couldn't really get everything together the whole course...

wasn't running that fast because I didn't really trust my orienteering skills yet because i have not done orienteering i a while but it came back to me as i went along the course. I was stronger in the beginning and then had a couple of bobbles towards the end because the map got very technical.

this was the sprint. Had a fast race. Got confused only twice. Once in the beginning at number 4 where i couldn''t find the place to go in and get it and then later in the course my mind was going and lookfor the control on the wrong side of the building...

alright... so i didn't originally plan on going this far but i felt really good running and was actually enjoying it (it was a beautiful day at 65 degrees and i had a "good" meal before i went out). I am pretty sure i ran every possible route out across the bridge. My legs didn't really ever feel tired till the last 10min. and i think that is because i need something to drink.
