trail race 45:44 [5]10.3 km (4:26 / km) +378m 3:45 / km
Northfield Trail race. Legs felt pretty tight from the beginning, and never really went away. Just goes to show you a good warm up is important... Not too hot because of cloud cover. Very steep from mile 1 to 4 then mostly downhill. Was able to stay ahead of Sam most of the uphill but she has more speed then me on the downhill. I actually felt the bottom my feet on fire halfway down the hills.
Splits per mile:
6:37
7:37
9:11
8:03
6:17
5:40
2:18 last .3km
I think you can see where the uphills are and where the downhills started...
Got 5th girl and was 39th overall with 174 runners total finished
orienteering 40:00 [2]
Did half the orange course around Northfield as a cool down with Sam

Friday Jun 6

erging (rowing machine) warm up/down 30:00 [1]
erging (rowing machine) 7:26 [5]2 km (3:43 / km)
Had a 2k test today. Haven't erged in a while. Felt pretty good during the warm-up. Hard to go any lower for the 2k but was able to beat out the other lightweights on the 2k. Now I need to figure out how to do it on the water...

Thursday Jun 5

rowing 1:10:00 [1]
A "la tee daa" kind of row
C • snooty? 8
road warm up/down 40:00 [1]
to and from Wilson Mt.
trail 15:00 [4]
Ran threshold in Wilson Mt. for 15min. Started out on the regular Wilson loop and turned around when got to the end to do a full 15min run. Got to the end at 13:20min, fastest time ever :)

Wednesday Jun 4

rowing 1:20:00 [3]
2x20min and coaching. I need to relax my sholders apparently and I think I do this while running too. I hunch up my sholders. It just seems comfortable that way. It took great effort to row with my sholders down.
road 48:00 [3]
run up and down Blue hills service road twice plus warm up and cool down.
Times were:
7:15
7:35 ( I think I let my mind wander in the middle and slowed down without realizing it... or just tired)
road 28:00 [2]
to and from track to meet Sam and a friend at Watertown track. Did some strides and 4x200. 33,36,36,36

Tuesday Jun 3

rowing 1:30:00 [3]
warmup and down for 30min each and did 2x(5x2min on 1min off).
Apparently I row better when I row hard so from now on I will only row hard for everything...
orienteering 1:05:00 [2]
Orienteering training day! We did compass work with the map in Blue Hills. I was also trying pace count but gave up after the first and second one where I was way too short. It just doesn't work in the Blue Hills. Most of the controls were bolders and I often got confused as to which bolder was the one I was looking for because some are not maped because they are "too small" and only the size of me! Was going okay till Sam got dehydrated and wondered around a little, but did manage to find a hard control in the middle of no where... Also was hard to see because of all the pollun and spiderwebs
rowing 1:00:00 [1]

Monday Jun 2

road 55:00 [1]
run before work along the Charles River
road 1:00:00 [1]
run after work along the Charles River

orienteering 1:04:00 [3]6.6 km (9:42 / km)
