Running race (Lausanne Christmas Run) 24:22 [3] 6.73 km (3:37 / km) +191m 3:10 / km
shoes: Inov8 Xtalon 212 0216

Ran this because someone decided to convince me to do it ;). Quite a difficult course, three laps with some brutal climbs and descents, all on cobblestone streets. It had been quite icy so I decided to go for xtalons for the extra grip. Was probably a good decision in the end.

Didn't feel that great on the second lap and so I thought that I would start dropping places (was second after the 1st lap and another guy passed me during the second lap but I held onto him). It was just really cold running at night and I'm really not used to running fast in those conditions. However, as many people know you need to beware of my kick at the end of a race and I easily passed and opened a gap on the second placed guy going up the final hill. Bit bummed because I was also within 5 seconds of the first placed guy...

Good first race since arriving back in Lausanne (after a 5 year hiatus from the last race :P). Finished 2nd.

Orienteering 53:37 [3] 6.15 km (8:43 / km) +390m 6:37 / km
shoes: Inov8 Oroc 280 0116

Training with the Swiss national team. Very well organised with SI air timing as well...

Nice technical section towards the end where the roads had been taken off of the map. Broke my new compass so a little bummed, but it was good anyway :).
