Orienteering race (Hull - Race 1) 17:30 [3]

Kept a good pace going throughout the course, felt really good for a change. Only messed up one control but it helped me focus more.

Orienteering race (Hull - Chasing start) 17:18 [3]

Wasn't happy with my run, started off really well but once I got to control 7 or 8 it went to pot from there, was on the wrong level and on the wrong side of the wall, wasted a good 90 seconds just at the control. Lost my confidence towards the end, but still a good run considering.

Was a very slow, steady ride uphill most of the way. Had to hand in my p.e work so thought it'd be cheaper to cycle there. Should have only been about 19 miles but roads were closed and had lots of diverted traffic which had some extra mileage on. I then decided to add more on to waste some time. Went steady on the way, didn't want to be walking round school extremely sweaty, luckily I went in then straight out then put more effort in on the way back not to mention the dreaded uphill climb on the way! Stayed in Tickhill once I got there and went to my old primary as it was the headteachers last day after 13 years and past students met so had a great 4 hour break before doing another couple of miles home. I do now have tan lines from my jersey! Now off to the club night at Worksop.

Think my total time of running was around 35 minutes, wasn't keeping track. Took it very steady tonight after cycling earlier on especially because it was hot, didn't want to over do it in the heat as I'm not very good! Also it was the last one until after the holidays, will still be training etc throughout summer. When I'm down in Cornwall I'll be running on the cliffs with the nice view although I won't be able to log it due to the poor wifi and signal and everything down there.
