run (Hills) 2:20:00 [4] 12.0 mi (11:40 / mi) +1250m 8:49 / mi
shoes: Swoops

Hard, long hill run at the pentlands, did about 2/3rds of skyline. Wore new swoops - very comfortable but blistered badly on both big toes at bottom which got v. painful by the end esp and ascents and descents. didn't cope with the hills great but me and George were roughly on the same level. Other Tom was immense, so good at descents... bastard.
Exact climb and dist are guess, but we did all the major hills of the skyline bar a couple so just gave it 2/3rds. Distance as per someone's garmin thing

Note

oh dear god, no training for me. At this point i have no idea what training to do, so many events coming up. Tomorrow am doing a 3 hour hill run with lab mate and quadrathlon partner, we'll see how it goes, i'm unprepared as fuck, but well rested, and have new fell running shoes. Am tempted to do a quick run home (still at the lab at 11pm on a saturday...), thereby leaving my bike here, and making it possible to do a cycle after work tomorrow if i'm up to it after the run... Really not sure if a long hill run is what the doctor ordered for knee...

run race 40:59 [5] 8.37 km (4:54 / km) +305m 4:08 / km
shoes: Innovates

Last minute decision to go. Ran well for everything but the uphill where my breathing was somewhat heavy and i didn't have the legs/breath! (walked about 70% of the climb)... ah well, first of the season... made back all the lost places on the decent, not so bad :-D

cycle 1:48:00 [4] 31.57 mi (3:25 / mi) +111m 3:23 / mi

Great weather, although more windy than expected. Ride out was tough even though flat, back was much faster. Legs felt slightly tired, not sure if it was because of yesterday or just pushing a bit harder.
Not a bad pace with the wind, and getting in/out of ed, 17.7mph if my calculations are correct...
