Strength (core) 10:00 [3]

A quick ATW, only 15-20 reps. Felt like I hadn't done ATW for awhile!

Cycling 3:00:00 [3] 20.5 mi (8:47 / mi)

Bike: Spot. Route: Gooseberry Mesa, Utah. Slow tech singletrack with lots of small grunts but no sustained climbing. Basically did ALL the trails to try to get a 20 mile ride in. Felt like I had 90% power in the legs which was great, but was not enough for the steepest slick rock pitches. Upper body felt good and strong considering all the bike wrestling involved. Ibuprofen count = 0.

Bike: Spot. Route: Hurricane Rim Trail - Gould's Rim Trail - JEM Trail near Hurricane Utah. Felt slightly beat up by end, not super motivated today but still enjoyed the fast flowy trails. Back was sore but was probably related to carrying a fully stuffed pack. Ibuprofen count = 2.

Cycling (dirt) 5:00:00 [3] 41.4 mi (7:15 / mi)

Bike: Spot. Route: Moab - UPS - LPS - Porcupine Rim - Moab. Climbed up even higher today to be able to drop into UPS. Required around 17 miles of up. Tough, considering it's only ~4K ft elevation gain. Pretty baked by the end mostly from sun/heat, but not too fatigued. Left hamstring just starting to get some crampy twinges by the end. Took 4 of my French Canadian friends with me today...hope they don't hate me! Ibuprofen count = 2.

Bike: Spot. Route: Poison Spider and Portal Trail. Shorter ride today but with many very hard efforts. Definately able to put on the gas when needed...nice. LOVE the technical descending on Portal! Ibuprofen count = 0.

Bike: Spot. Route: Moab - Hidden Valley Trail - Moab Rim Trail - Amassa Back - Moab. Quads and glutes tender today. Did not have much gas for hard efforts but overall wasn't in too bad of shape. Back felt quite good today. Ibuprofen count = 2, only because I was getting a bit achy by end of ride.

Cycling (dirt) 4:30:00 [3] 35.0 mi (7:43 / mi)

Bike: Spot. Route: Porcupine Rim loop from town with additional climb up to LPS. Felt good on the climb, which was ~14 miles. This ride also was a good test of the endurance of the "descending muscles". Everything felt good except for neck and back. Ibuprofen count = 6. The Spot is fantastic at speed...very stable.
