50F at the start, no rain so fairly comfortable. It had rained quite a bit the night before which made any steep climb a run and any off camber kind of sketchy.

Lined up 3rd row and had a decent start, within the top 25 into the sand pit which I had to dismount half way through for so lost a few spots there. Eager to make those up I ripped down the long descent on the outside but ended up sliding out at the bottom and lost them back. Same thing happened on the next descent so I decided I'd better dial back the Full Send mode a little.

From there it was a lot of: waiting on the guy in front of me in the tight turns, losing traction on the intermediate climbs, running up the steep sections and trying to recover on the few flats which were rideable.

Finished 51/110. Overall not my best effort. For some reason I struggled with the conditions. Based on what I heard afterwards I was running too much tire pressure but that can't be all of the problem. I like to consider myself a better bike handler than most but maybe that's not the case. It certainly wasn't the case here.
