MTBO race 2:51:19 [2] 49.47 km (3:28 / km) +1043m 3:08 / km

49.466km with 1043m climb in 2:58:03. Bmbo 2020 race 1. Gilwern. Only 3 hours and 3 hills on map so never going to be clearable.

Headed over obvious sugarloaf loop. With Liam not keeping up quite but close enough that having been through here before I got in front from the top. A series of controls around Abergqveny was new. I look to of failed to punch 5 so 10 points down. Got to 16 and had to decide if I was going to go to the punchbole. Decided no so up the big road climb and out and back on the tramway befor new track over to 30 pointer below keepers pool. Nasty back up to road befor descent back close to start. Out along canal for 10 and 25 pointer. 15 mins too slow to be able to finish the loop up the hill so back along canal.

Equal 2nd with Liam. About 15 off Ian.

Orienteering race 45:00 [2] 6.29 km (7:09 / km) +156m 6:22 / km

6.290km with 156m climb in 0:57:00. WNL Minchihampton common. Nice night!! No thought of clearing in my currency state. Just headed for wooded ones as close together and reasonable points. Forgot to start phone timing almost at 1 befor I started it then Skiped ahead to the second I was going to do and tried navigating to 3rd. Got very confused for a while till I realised. Glasses proved useless as tugging up so had to take them off and back to going to centers of circle and hoping. Ok along bottom of wood then back along top. Very muddy coming back up. Only about 20 mins left so just got the 20 pointers on the top a bit of trouble with 208 where the circle needed breaking. in early but at the pave I was going no time for Amy more. Just 310 out of 500 which I assume Ben got.
