Hanes Valley Loop starting from LSCR gazebo parking lot. Good session of steep snow hiking and a bit of bushwacking cuz the trail was buried. Once again kept it slow and steady. Legs feel good. Everything feels good. Feel a bit guilty that I haven't done any speedwork for quite some time. Sure would be nice if a person didn't have to...

Cleveland Dam to top of Grouse Mtn X 2. Very wet but enjoyable run/hike up and down the mountain. Never let HR come up just practiced my power hiking and descending at a nice easy pace. Kinvara 2 shoes awesome on the rocky, rooty technical and on the brief paved road section. Good shoe for second half of a hundred miler.

Wet jungle run up to Hanes Valley. Went very easy to get a better idea of how fast(slow) I should be running FatDog. Body felt good and relaxed, heart rate stayed very low. Legs are coming around. Loving the PI Peak 2 shoes - will wear them for race.

Steady, easy and feel pretty good. Real positive about FatDog - if I can keep my pace to a crawl I might do all right.
