Paddle from Valentine Bowling Club, across to Boughton Point, across to Eleebana and then back to Valentine Bowling Club.
Thought i held up quite well considering I haven't paddled in many months. Still knew what to do which was good! Developed a blister on my left thumb, will have to build up a calus before May.
Tried out some Arm Coolers (sun protection sleeves) and they were really good - will have to keep wearing them; much better than sunscreen and really breathable.
At the end I got to see my year adviser for the second time in 3 weeks which was nice (: His daughter had just gotten married.
Side note, i had been watching wedding guests walking from their cars to the Bowlo and they were getting swooped by a magpie. I was keeping an eye on him and as soon as i turned away he dive bombed me as i was pretty much directly under his tree. I HATE MAGPIES (in swooping season)!!!

Note

Was planning on some core work and arms - anything that avoided using my legs as the cork in my right leg is very painful; stairs are quite difficult at the moment, as is putting on my shoes!
But instead of doing anything we went and saw our nephew instead. He's super cute and crawling around!

Note

Update - Kowalski is postponed until mid-October. Apparently the forecast changed overnight so the race officials and landowners decided to postpone.
6 PM

Netball 15:00 [3]

Only played the first half tonight. With a few minutes to go before half time Josh, Josh's player and I went for the ball and Josh's player kneed me in the side of my knee. Very painful.
So i guess that's one good thing for the Kowalski being postponed this weekend, i don't have to try riding 50km on a corked knee!

Note

Steven was in the Gloucester Mountain Man today so I was his support crew.
Would have liked to participate myself but with Kowalski next Sunday, I didn't want to risk injury.
(Kowalski is the event that I have been training for, for the past 12wks)
